Now, I am at the CPL stage..
Changing aircraft type..
From Eagle to brand new aircraft..
One of the modern n the most advance aircraft in APFT..
Eagle is just for PPL stage..
Thank God..
Can try the other aircraft instead of flying Eagle for all the way of my flying..
Plus, new aircraft and got Garmin G1000..
Wow!!
First impression..
DA-40..
Can say it got everything what we want..
It use a lot of electrical equipment..
Have a lot of different compare to Eagle..
Eagle is a "Old School" aircraft..
Like Kancil..
Diamond 40 is a new phase of flying experience..
From driving kancil and now Mercedes..
You know what I mean rite..
After my PPL test, I'm not flying for almost 2 months..
Wait for availability of the aircraft..
Because the senior using that aircraft and they got prioroty to fly..
They have to catch up their silibus..
So, we have to wait..
After a long vacation, the operation call us..
They spare one or two slot for us to do our conversion..
We have to stick with the instructor until we clear for solo..
And I was so lucky..
My instructor is Capt. Dhany..
He is one of the best instructor at my academy..
Everyone love to fly with him..
No pressure and we can enjoy the flying..
Cant wait to fly with him..
Before this, I have experience with him..
Backseat..
When the others fly, we just sit at the back look what they doing..
And of course, you learn something..
Sometimes backseat can give you a lot of knowledge..
My first sortie..
Like the others, the instructor not expect you to know everything about the aircraft..
Just a simple knowledge is enough..
As long as you study..
I go through the checklist..
Before start check and start the aircraft..
Its very easy to start this aircraft..
Like starting a car..
Twist the key and the the engine alive..
Not like Eagle, have to crank dont know how many time..
If you are lucky, just once..
If not, cant be count..
After start check complete..
And the radio call begin..
Bla Bla Bla...
For the first sortie, we go to Bachok Training Area for General Handling exercise..
Its quite hard for the first time to taxi the aircraft..
The style of taxying the aircraft is the same with the Eagle, except the rudder pedals is separate with the brake..
My leg shaking..
And we proceed to bachok..
For one hour..
The next day, I have two hours of flying..
Conversion with the same instructor..
Today, we do the circuit only..
I think almost 6-7 circuits..
Today the different is we have a passanger..
Philbert Jee, my batchmate..
He backseat on my flight..
And of course, he took some picture..
Very nice picture using his DSLR..

After finish, the instructor let me go for first solo with this aircraft..
I plan my solo on the next week..
Now, finish my conversion..
My life in the CPL stage, has begin..
