Flying.Piper.28

Exercise: Navigation (Mutual)
Callsign: APAC 2361

I never flying Piper 28 before this..
Because I'm flying Diamond 40..
So means we are prohibited to mutual our friend who flying Piper 28..
Then, one of my friend ask our Chief Flying Instructor..
He say we can fly with other type of aircraft because we have done our simulator..
We flying Piper Seneca PA 34, the twin engine type for Piper..
So means we know a bit about the aircraft system and how to handle it..
So means we can mutual them..
Mutual means we sit on the co-pilot side, same as instructor..
For navigation or Instrument Flying..
I and Faiz already plan to fly together..
I want to mutual him with Piper 28..
I wait for a very long time for this moment..
But when the sortie list is out, we feel so frust,,
Because the aircraft that have been sign for Faiz to fly don't have the seat belt on the so-pilot side..
This aircraft only can be fly by solo student..
Seat belt is a must in flying..
So sad..
Even sometimes we do something stupid in flying, safety is always the first priority..
We will not jeopardize our safety..
I still go to the hangar..
Hoping that we can change aircraft..
Maybe someone MC, we can take his aircraft..
But sad to day, everyone was there..
And plus no standby aircraft for Piper, only for Diamond..
So sad..
Means I can't fly with him today..
And then I ask anyone who don't have anyone to company them..
Zamir, my junior fly alone today..
So I decide to fly with him..
He fly Diamond..
Once again, Diamond..
I feel bored with this aircraft..
Doesn't mean I refuse to fly this aircraft..
Just today my mood was in Piper..
We done our navigation as per normal..
We go until Kerteh (WMKE)..
We request to track final at WMKE for missed approach but the tower not allowed us due to traffic..
Then we proceed to Terengganu (WMKN) and land there..
We wait for Faiz land and we went outside eat 'keropok lekor'..
I discuss with him and decide to change aircraft..
From KB I fly with Zamir..
On the way back I want to fly with Faiz..
He manage to have the other aircraft..
So, we have the seatbelt..
But on the way back to Kota Bharu (WMKC), the route is short..
Just pray for the best and hope nothing will happen on route back to WMKC..
I took all my stuff from Diamond and place it in the Piper..
Checking make sure everything perfect, I jump into the aircraft..
Faiz start the aircraft and ask me to do the Radio Call..
What I say just, "of course"..
As what you know, I'm so passion in doing the radio call..
When someone ask me to do it using their callsign, it's honor to me..
And plus Faiz want to see how I'm doing my Radio Call..
Befor this he only hear it..
Today he said he want to see with his own eyes..
Yes, time for me to "poyo-poyo" with him..
Haha..
What a shame..
We taxi and ask by tower to hold at taxiway Charlie..
Now I know how hot this aircraft was..
In Diamond we have the ventilation window on the screen of the canopy..
But in Piper only small one on the pilot side..
So hot..
Everything done and we airborne..
Then everything be cool again..
This aircraft was so nice..
Faiz give me chance to control this aircraft..
This aircraft so stable and easy to control..
It's comfortable..
But one thing, they use analog system..
But still nice..
Inbound to Kota Bharu, contact KB tower..

Me: Kota Bharu Tower, this is APAC 2361 Assalamualaikum..
ATC: APAC 2361, Kota Bharu Tower Waalaikumussalam go ahead.. (I recognise this guy voice.. Encik Shawal)
Me: APAC 2361 release by Terengganu Approach, Overhead .......................................... bla3x, until end..
ATC: APAC 2361, clear to enter Kota Bharu Control Zone ........................................... bla3x, until end..

Then he ask..

ATC: APAC 2361, confirm Faiq??
Me: Affirm sir, I'm here.. Ape kaba bang??
ATC: Sihat, macam biasala..
Me: Arini sy naik Piper lak..
ATC: Tula, pelik lak bila kau buat radio call gna callsign APAC 2361, diorang naik Piper..
Me: Arini nk merasa naik Piper lak bang.. Asyik naik Diamond je, Skali-skala naik Piper la..
ATC: Ok2..

Nice right, this guy..
And nice also, when the ATC recognise your voice..
Means you already really establish yourself at the Control Tower..
And plus, I was quite close with them..
Always went up to Control Tower and bring something (rasuah, haha)
All of them really nice guy, believe me..
Encik Nasharudin also same..
When he heard my voice even using other callsign, he know..
And start to chat with me via RT..
Nice..
Until some instructor ask me how they be so nice with me..
I know, they want to know so they can start make a political relationship with the controller..

Then we landed safely at Kota Bharu..
Alhamdulillah..
Nice sortie with Piper..
Hope next time I can fly with piper again..
Looking forward to it..

Location: Kota Bharu Tower, DCA

Time: From 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Me myself and my friend, Faiz (APAC 2361)
We hangout that night..
And our destination is going to eat 'roti canai' at our favourite place..
But on the way, we discuss and decide to go to Control Tower..
That night, I SMS Encik Shawal, ATC who on duty that night..
Asking him who was his partner tonight..
Encik Aznan was on duty..
Nice..
Both of them are really nice guy..
I know them well..
They one of the best controller..
And really nice to work with them..
Faiz and I decide to but 'murtabak' at Bazar MPKB..
After that, we go to the airport..
We went up to the top of the tower..
Only Encik Shawal was there..
Encik Aznan have somework to do outside..
We chat with him..
Ask him a lot of thing..
He know a lot..
And we learn something that we never know before..
About regulation, airport system, their working environment..
We take opportunity to ask him, because at night the traffic not as heavy as during daylight..
Plus only 2 APAC's fyling that night..
Suddenly Encik Shawal say something..

Shawal : Faiq, saya nak g toilet jap.. Ade AirAsia ready kat bawah tu.. Kau approve je ape yang dia mintak..

Me : Eh abang shawal, biar betul.. Jangan memain.. Bahaya la..

Shawal : Kau jangan risaulah.. Dia x request pape lg.. Smpat la sy naik sblum dia naik.. Kejap je k..

Me : Hah.. Ok2.. Sy try..

Faiz : Hah, tu dia.. Jd ATC lak.. Once in a lifetime ni.. Haha..

Me : Gulp..!! Takot la aku..
Faiz: Buat je.. Mcm x biasa lak..

Me : Ok2..

AK (Asian Express) : Kota Bharu Tower, Asian Express 5295, Assalamualaikum..

ATC (Me) : Asian Express 5295, Kota Bharu Tower, Waalaikumussalam go ahead..

AK : Asian Express 5295 requesting FL 320 back to Kuala Lumpur..

ATC : Asian Express 5295, copied FL 320 back to Kuala Lumpur..

Hah, I'm shacking..
Where is Encik Shawal..
Faster, I'm afraid..
Then..

AK : Tower, Asian Express 5295 request push back and engine start, we have POB of 161, endurance of 1:40..

ATC : Asian Express 5295, erkk, push back and start approve, say again POB and endurance..

AK : POB 161, endurance of 1:40, Asian Express 5295..

ATC : Asian Express 5295, copied..

Then, the ATC guy came back..

Me : Hah, seb baik abang da naik.. Cuak sy.. Dia da push back.. FL 320, POB 161, endurance 1:40..

Shawal : Haha.. Ok2.. Okla tu..
Me: Haha (laugh + shacking)..

After the aircraft airborne, we listen back to the radio call that been recorded in the computer..
Not bad..
Okla for the first time..
And for the last..
Actually that's illegal..
But, can say in distress..
It is allowable..
I have the video that been recorded by Faiz Nasir..
But I'll not upload it..
For my save only..

Then, Encik Aznan came back...
We tell him what we have done..
He smile..
After that, we talk with him..
And plus, he give us the authority to on the runway light when there is an arrival..
Great..
Faiz and me got the chance..
Amazing..

Thanks to both of u, give us such a great night..

Tetapi berapa ramai yang menghargai dan menikmati ciptaan Tuhan Yang Esa..

Berapa ramai antara kita yang hanya mahu berada d atas hanya untuk suka-suka..

Mengapa tidak kita selitkan sedikit dalam sanubari hati kita sesuatu lebih dari orang lain..

Menikmati keindahan alam ciptaan Tuhan..

Menghargai segala yang dikurniakan..

The normal conversation with my friends..
When I don't have sortie and not flying for a couple of days, I feel like lost something..
I want to be on the air..
Sit in the aircraft, and enjoy the scenery..
Nice..
Even I'm not the one who fly the aircraft..
It is better..
I can enjoy myself there..
And plus can help them to do something..
Turn the heading bug, key in the Flight Plan in the Garmin (as a backup)..
And a lot of thing..
Last but not least, Radio Call..
Its honor for me when someone ask me to do the radio call for them..
And of course, I was so excited..
Do the radio call, is my passion..
I love it so much..
Sometimes I ask them to do radio call for them..
What a shame..
But some of them will let me do..

I praise to Allah..
Because he give me chance..
To be here..
Fly high on the sky..
Not everyone as lucky as me..
They don't have this opportunity..
They don't have the chance to see the view of the earth from here..
View from up here always the the best, always the best and the perfect one..
Alhamdulillah..
I'm here..
I can see everything..
The mountain, the lake, the river, the houses..
And sometimes fly in the middle of nowhere..
Fly same level with the peak of the mountain..
How amazing it is..
The creation of the God..
Sometimes when I see an aircraft fly through the sky..
I said to myself, I'm one of them..
Even I'm not fly as high as them, at least I can touch the cloud, can reach the sky..
Once the propeller start spinning, no one can stop us unless the God..
I always think..
My mind ticking..
About this..
About flying..
I'm here..
I'm flying..
Amazing..
Not everyone can be with us..
Even they want to be here..
But the God not choose them to be here..
The God choose us..

- Failure -

Nobody is perfect..

Even the most successful person in the world was a former failure..

They gain their strength from their failure..

Dare to fail..

Fail once doesn't mean you will fail for your whole life..

Me myself..

Have face failure a lot of time in my life..

It hard for ourself to accept it..

But, we have to..

The God give us failure not because He hate you, but he love you..

Everything that have been happen got "hikmah" beside that..

Talking about fail, I'm the one who have face it..

I fail my flying test..

My PPL Test..

I have been tested by Capt Zeenudin..

Actually, it already pass on year ago..

But this moment still in my mind..

Hard for me to take it..

Hard for me to accept it for the first time..

Because I'm failure..

Why Capt Zeenu failed me??

Because I'm not doing my exercise perfect enough..

I not blame him..

I should blame myself..

I should prepare more than that..

But he say something to me,"In flying sometimes we need luck.. Today you fail because you dont have the luck.. You fail doesn't mean you dont know how to fly.. Just only you dont have luck this time"..

This give me strength..

I promise myself, to prove to the others that I can do it..

On the 2nd attempt, I do my best..

As this one is my last chance..

Then, I just passed..

Alhamdulillah..

I can do it..

And this time, I have the luck..

Pray for your luck..

For a long time I never update this blog..

Maybe can say I was so busy with my life and have no time to update the blog..

Actually I'm lying because I have a lot of empty time..

But I feel lazy to update this thing..

Today I totally free, and want to type something in this boring blog..

Maybe I feel easy to update myself there rather than here..

Now already started my Twin Engine flying..

Only 2 hours flying currently..

It was fun, but a bit tiring because harder than flying single engine aircraft..

Insya Allah I will update this thing and tell about my progress since the last time I update my blog..

And one more..

I'm not sure all of you know or not that I like to read a sci-fiction novel..

My favourite novel "The Pendragon Adventure" series..

I'm going to finish the last book of Pendragon..

Book 10 is the last book..

Hope can finish it soon..

I was following Pendragon journey since 3 years ago..

And I will finish it soon..
